PR abuzz with sounds of shofar factory

Chabad-Lubavitch of Puerto Rico was abuzz with the sounds of drilling and sanding recently as Jewish community members young and old gathered to make their own rams’ horns, popularly known as shofars.
The ritual items, central to the observances of Rosh Hashanah, are traditionally blown every day of the month preceding the Jewish New Year.
According to organizers, more than 25 children and their parents turned out for the event, which included arts and crafts, a hands-on shofar factory and a video explaining the process.
